About
Jack and the Weatherman is a Dutch folk pop duo from Haarlem, built around the tight acoustic chemistry of Berry Krikken, who goes by Jack, and Sebastiaan Weerman, the Weatherman. Their sound blends guitar, ukulele, harmonica and foot percussion with close two part harmonies, and their songwriting tends to circle around life and the changes it brings. Writing together since 2013 and releasing music on their own GlowBird Records label, they broke through when their debut single Free was named Serious Talent by Dutch radio station 3FM in 2014, racking up over four million Spotify streams. Their single Till the Sun Comes Up went even further, landing them their first Gold Record at NPO Radio 2 and reaching twelve million streams. Since 2018 they have performed as a full band and released their debut album The Lucky Ones, while sharing stages with acts like Chef'Special, Xavier Rudd and Jeremy Loops across Europe.
