Jacob Alon caught serious attention after appearing on Later... with Jools Holland, but things really took off with their 2025 debut album In Limerence, released through Island Records and EMI Records and produced by Dan Carey. The record landed a Mercury Prize shortlist spot and a Scottish Album of the Year longlisting, which is a strong showing for any debut. On top of that, Alon was named BBC Introducing Artist of the Year 2025, supported tours with Olly Alexander and Kae Tempest, and made their Glastonbury debut all in the same year. The Scottish singer songwriter, who identifies as non binary, plays in a contemporary folk and singer songwriter space that clearly resonates well beyond Scotland. Early 2026 brought a performance on The Graham Norton Show and a Critics' Choice Award at the Brit Awards, capping off a run that few debut artists manage to pull off.
