About
Jawdropped came together in early 2024 out of Los Angeles's DIY scene, where the members had each left trails through earlier projects before eventually finding one another. Their debut EP 'Just Fantasy' draws heavily on the city they formed in, and the band describes LA as running through it. The music sits somewhere between indie rock and upbeat power pop, as heard on the follow up singles 'Monday' and 'Split Lip'. What sets them apart is the tone: there's genuine humour in the songs, but no winking irony, and the melodies feel direct rather than chasing trends. No mystery act posturing, no fishing for viral moments. Just straightforward rock and roll.
