About
Irish singer, songwriter and DJ Jazzy, born Yasmine Byrne, made her first big splash when "Make Me Feel Good" with Belters Only hit number one on the Irish Singles Chart in late 2021, making them the first Irish dance act to top that chart since Mark McCabe's Maniac 2000. Then she went and did it again as a solo artist: her debut single "Giving Me" reached number three in the UK and number one in Ireland in 2023, making her the first Irish solo female artist to top the Irish chart in years, and the first Irish female artist to hit number one on Spotify. Jazzy works in dance pop and synth pop territory, and her sound draws from a pretty wide range of influences, from Lauryn Hill to Raye and Eliza Rose. Before breaking through as Jazzy, she performed under the name Jazzy Yaz as part of the Dublin band Powerful Creative Minds. Her solo catalogue also includes "Shooting Star", "Feel It" and the collaborative tracks "Zeros" with Cassö and Headie One, and "Somedays" with Sonny Fodera and D.O.D.
