Joe Armon Jones is the kind of musician other musicians want in their corner. The Oxfordshire born keyboardist, composer and producer has built a serious reputation both as a solo artist and as a core member of Ezra Collective, the London jazz group that has become one of the most talked about acts in British music. His 2019 album Turn to Clear View landed on Time magazine's list of the top 10 albums of that year, which is no small thing for a jazz record. He has also played alongside Nubya Garcia and appeared on sessions with Tony Allen and Hugh Masekela, among many others. His solo catalogue keeps moving in interesting directions. A Way Back, a collaboration with producer Mala, showed a willingness to push into electronic territory, while Archetype followed in 2023 on his own Aquarii Records label. Most recently he released All the Quiet (Part I) in 2025, suggesting there is more to come from that project. Whether leading his own sessions or lending his keys to someone else's record, Armon Jones consistently brings something distinctive to the table.
