About
Born out of the ashes of Japanese visual kei outfit Versailles, Jupiter came together in 2013 when guitarists Hizaki and Teru recruited new members and set out with a sound that leans heavily into symphonic power metal with a classically influenced, orchestral flair. Their debut album Classical Element landed on the Oricon chart within weeks of their first single, and the band quickly built a following both in Japan and abroad, with early European performances in Warsaw, Cologne and Paris in 2014. The band has gone through a fair number of lineup shifts over the years, but Hizaki and Teru have held it together throughout. Current vocalist Kuze, who came on board in 2018, brought a fresh energy that carried through their album Zeus ~Legends Never Die~. After a quiet spell, Jupiter came back with a reunion concert in early 2025 and the single Ecliptic, with a new album The Pantheon ~Age of Heroes due in 2026.
