About
Born in Nairobi and now based in Berlin, Kabeaushé makes pop music feel like a full blown sensory event. His sound pulls from hiphop, art pop, rock, electronic music and theatre, weaving in influences from film, classical music and club culture. Live, that translates into something overwhelming: bombastic soundtracks, striking visuals and raw energy all at once. His music has been featured in TV series including Queenie and How To Sell Drugs Online (Fast), and his intense live shows have taken him to festivals such as Roskilde, Reeperbahn Festival and Rock En Seine. A lot of his work orbits a fictional character called Herr Iggy, a paranoid despot clinging to power at any cost. The album built around this character stacks dramatic orchestrations, distorted beats and falsetto vocals into something that feels simultaneously huge, chaotic and emotional.
