About
KeiyaA built her debut album Forever, Ya Girl entirely on her own terms, self producing every track and releasing it through her personal label Forever Recordings in 2020. The Chicago born, Brooklyn based singer, multi instrumentalist and producer pulls from jazz, soul, R&B and electronic music in a way that feels genuinely her own, and critics noticed. Pitchfork gave it an 8.2 and praised its "resolute realness," while Rolling Stone, The Guardian and Pitchfork all placed it on their best albums of 2020 lists. Before going solo she played alto sax alongside Chicago names like Noname and Vic Mensa, and those jazz instincts never really left her sound. Her second album Hooke's Law arrived in October 2025 to universal critical acclaim, suggesting she has no intention of slowing down.
