About
Library Card are a Rotterdam quartet whose sound refuses to sit still. Formed in the summer of 2021, they move restlessly between angular post punk, post rock and garage rock, balancing rawness with melody and introversion with explosive energy. Even within a city known for its unconventional guitar music, they quickly carved out a distinct presence in the local punk scene. Their debut album 'Peeling an Orange in Just One Go' expands on the art punk ferocity they built their reputation on, while also venturing into slowcore and trip hop territory. The lyrics lean into an ominous take on the state of the world, giving the record a weight that sets it apart from straightforward punk fare.
