Liedfett (DE)

About

Liedfett are a Hamburg duo who describe themselves as self appointed world improvers, and their music lives up to that slightly tongue in cheek ambition. Their sound sits somewhere between German pop and punk energy, built for both festival stages and campfire singalongs. Over seven studio albums they have sharpened a style that is direct and unpolished, mixing broad emotional range with a commitment to honest self reflection. Their self titled album brings together tracks like "Alles wird gut", "Zu kurz", "Einsamkeitsgefahr", "Das war ich" and "Partybrille" alongside newer material. Lyrically, Liedfett circle themes of stumbling through life, pushing on through doubt, and knowing when to be loud versus when to be vulnerable. It is music that takes a stance without pointing fingers, which may explain why what started as an insider tip has grown into something that draws an increasingly large and devoted crowd. They tour with a sizable live crew, and by most accounts the full picture of what Liedfett do only really makes sense when you see them play.
