About
Little Quirks are a folk pop outfit from Gosford on the Central Coast of New South Wales, built around three cousins: sisters Abbey Toole (guitar, vocals) and Mia Toole (drums, vocals), alongside Jaymi Toole (mandolin, vocals). They started out busking at food markets playing covers before carving out their own sound rooted in raw, harmony driven folk. Their track "Cover My Eyes" reached the semi finals of the International Songwriting Competition in both the Americana and Folk categories, and their 2020 EP of the same name drew praise for balancing bright pastoral harmonies against some genuinely dark lyrical territory, particularly around mental health. The band has toured alongside Jack River, Xavier Rudd and Alex the Astronaut, and made it to South by Southwest in 2022. Their self titled debut album arrived in September 2024 on ABC Music, a milestone after nearly a decade of EPs and singles. Their fifth EP, The Beast, followed in 2025, recorded at Sonora Studios and described as retaining the shimmer of mandolin and close harmony while pushing toward a rawer, punchier edge.
