Few Dutch pop acts can say Prince personally tracked them down after spotting their video on MTV, but that's exactly what happened to Loïs Lane. The Amsterdam sisters Suzanne and Monique Klemann built their name through sharp pop songwriting, landing their first real hit with "It's The First Time" from their debut album, which went to number one. That song caught Prince's ear, and in 1990 the duo toured Europe as his support act on the Nude Tour. Two years later they made the album Precious partly with Prince producing, releasing singles "Sex" and "Qualified" and gaining some traction in the US market under the name Lois L. Outside their Prince chapter, the sisters have kept busy across TV and film. They sang the title track for the Dutch thriller Amsterdamned back in 1988, and later wrote theme songs for the TV programmes Combat and the Emmy awarded Dunya and Desi. Their 2013 album As One produced the singles "The Morning Patrol" and "You and You and Me", while Monique also carved out a solo path with her jazz influenced album On Patrol.
