Marco Schuitmaker is a Dutch singer from Oude Pekela who works in the hollands and nederpop genres. In a relatively short span of time he went from a standing start to selling out large arenas such as the Gelredome, and racking up millions of streams along the way. His best known song is Engelbewaarder, which became a touchstone for his fanbase and helped fuel his rapid rise. On stage he performs with a full live band and elaborate staging, but his theater shows strip things back to something more personal. Between the big singalong moments he shares the stories behind the songs, giving audiences a closer look at the person writing them. The result is an evening that manages to feel both intimate and celebratory at the same time.
