Martin Luke Brown (GB)

About

Martin Luke Brown makes intimate, soulful indie pop that pulls from bedroom pop, folk and lo fi soul, all held together by a warm vocal tone and songwriting that feels genuinely lived in. The Leicester born artist has built a close creative community around his work over the years, and his reach extends well beyond his own releases. He has written and produced for Lizzy McAlpine, Victoria Canal and Jacob Banks, and is also a member of the playful indie collective FIZZ. His album 'man oh man !' captured a sunny, DIY spirit, while later work like the single 'back of my mind' leans into a warm blend of 60s nostalgia and modern indie soul, with twangy guitars and pleasingly rough edges. His album 'life & death etc.' continues that evolution. Few artists juggle solo work, outside production and a group project with this much coherence.
