About
Neck Deep built their name the old fashioned way: a single song posted online that spread fast enough to turn a two piece into a full band within months. Formed in Wrexham, Wales in 2012 by vocalist Ben Barlow and guitarist Lloyd Roberts, the pop punk outfit grew their lineup through the local scene and released two EPs before landing on Hopeless Records after label reps caught footage of a couple of packed, sold out Florida shows. Their debut album Wishful Thinking followed in early 2014 and was successful enough that the entire band quit their day jobs on the spot. Their sound draws clear influence from polished pop punk in the vein of All Time Low, but with a distinctly British edge. Wishful Thinking tackled themes of friendship, growing up, and the pull of home, and it set the tone for a band that has kept releasing music ever since. More recently they dropped tracks including It Won't Be Like This Forever and Dumbstruck Dumbf**k, showing no signs of slowing down.
