Nectar Woode's 2023 single 'Good Vibrations' crossed a million Spotify streams within a month of release, a rapid signal that this Milton Keynes born, London based soul singer songwriter was onto something real. Signed with Communion Records, she blends 21st century British soul with deeper influences like Lauryn Hill, Erykah Badu and Minnie Riperton, while also drawing on West African music. The results have drawn comparisons to Cleo Sol and Corinne Bailey Rae. She put out two EPs in 2024 under the title Nothing to Lose and How It's Gotta Be, and her music caught the ear of Elton John, who spun it on his Apple Music show Rocket Hour. Festival appearances at Cambridge Folk and Live at Leeds followed, then a support slot on Nao's tour and a set on the BBC Music Introducing stage at Glastonbury in 2025. Her mixtape Naturally arrived in 2026, with a track featuring Elton John himself.
