About
Georgian pianist Nino Gvetadze has built a reputation as one of the more compelling classical pianists working in Europe today, with nine solo CDs covering composers from Beethoven and Chopin to the Georgian composers Nodar Gabunia and Giya Kancheli. Her 2008 Second Prize, Press Prize, and Audience Prize at the International Franz Liszt Piano Competition put her firmly on the map, followed by the Borletti Buitoni Trust Award in 2010. She performs regularly at some of the most prestigious venues around, including the Concertgebouw Amsterdam, Wigmore Hall in London, and Konzerthaus Berlin, and has appeared as soloist with the Rotterdam Philharmonic, Münchner Philharmoniker, and Seoul Philharmonic, among others. Beyond the concert stage, she serves as artistic leader of both the Delft Chamber Music Festival and the Naarden International Piano Festival, bringing real curatorial weight to her work in the chamber music world.
