Ola Englund wears a lot of hats: guitarist in The Haunted, founder of Solar Guitars, and one of the more genuinely watchable presences on YouTube when it comes to metal gear and culture. The Lidingö native built his reputation both on stage and online, with nearly a million subscribers following his mix of gear demos, artist interviews, and behind the scenes band footage. He has also played with Six Feet Under and is a founding member of the Stockholm act Feared. On the solo side, Englund stepped out with his debut album Master of the Universe in 2019, followed by Starzinger in 2021, drawing on influences like Pantera, Dream Theater, and Nevermore. Outside of recording, he launched Solar Guitars in late 2017, turning his obsession with guitar design into an actual brand. His YouTube channel keeps things lively, with recent videos covering everything from Brent Hinds' rig to his own burnt Solar Guitar build.
