About
Pale are a band from Drachten whose sound is rooted firmly in the heavy alternative metal and groove of the 1990s. Frontman Bert Steeman's manic vocal style sits at the centre of their raw, grunge inflected approach, and the band built a reputation for powerful live shows during their initial run from the mid 1990s onward. In 1996 they took home the Kleine Prijs van Sneek, and shortly after released their debut album on Suburban Records. After a lengthy break, Pale reunited to mark their 30th anniversary and have since been working on new material. Their return suggests that the energy they were known for is very much intact.
