About
Rosa Vendel is a singer songwriter and pianist whose music sits in the space between alternative pop and folk. Her debut EP Silhouettes layers acoustic instruments with subtle electronics and open, spacious arrangements, giving the songs an intimate yet cinematic feel. The melodies unfold slowly, and the writing carries a poetic weight that leans into raw emotion. Live, she has typically performed solo, though Silhouettes sees her joined by a small band including fiddle, electronics and drums. She writes both the music and the lyrics herself, and her work circles around themes of concealment, visibility and the strange, bittersweet texture of being alive.
