With 10 billion streams to her name, AURORA has carved out a singular place in pop music, blending electropop, folk, and art pop into something that sounds like nothing else around. The Norwegian singer and producer got her first break when a classmate uploaded her music without permission, and the rest followed quickly: a record deal, a debut EP in 2015, and a debut album in 2016 that topped the Norwegian charts and earned fans well beyond Scandinavia. Her song "Runaway" became a phenomenon years after its release when it went viral on TikTok, introducing her to a whole new generation. She has since put out five studio albums, with The Gods We Can Touch landing her first UK top 10 in 2022 and What Happened to the Heart? charting widely across Europe in 2024. Her reach extends well beyond her own records too, with contributions to Frozen 2, Assassin's Creed, Genshin Impact, and collaborations with Hans Zimmer, Jacob Collier, and Bring Me the Horizon. Most recently she teamed up with Tom Rowlands of The Chemical Brothers to form the project Tomora, steering her sound in a more electronic direction.
