Ruel van Dijk was just fourteen when Elton John spun his track 'Don't Tell Me' on BBC Radio 1 and called it out with high praise, which says a lot about the kind of attention this Sydney based singer and songwriter commands. That same year he became the youngest performer ever featured on Triple J's Like a Version segment, and by 2018 he was the youngest artist to win the ARIA Breakthrough Artist award. His sound sits in a warm, soulful pop space, and his singles 'Younger', 'Painkiller' and 'As Long as You Care' have been a big part of building a loyal following across Australia and beyond. His debut album 4th Wall arrived in 2023 and peaked at number three on the ARIA Charts. Since then he has kept busy, collaborating with Australian band DMA's and dropping his fourth EP Adaptations on new label Giant Records. In 2025 he announced his second studio album Kicking My Feet, with recent videos for 'I Can Die Now' and 'The Suburbs' showing he is firmly in a new chapter.
