Salami Rose Joe Louis, the project of Lindsay Olsen, makes music that slips between electronica, jazz, and bedroom pop in ways that feel genuinely hard to pin down. She composes and produces everything herself on a Roland MV 8800, and her 2019 Brainfeeder debut Zdenka 2080 caught attention for weaving a science fiction narrative through its avant garde sound. It was a strong introduction to a label founded by Flying Lotus, who she has also toured with alongside Toro y Moi, Tune Yards, and Clairo. Her catalog has kept moving in interesting directions. Chapters of Zdenka followed in 2020, then Akousmatikous in 2023. A 2024 collaborative record with Simon Martinez called Sarah brought in hyperpop and drum and bass textures, and her 2025 solo album Lorings on Brainfeeder mixes lounge music with free jazz. She also turned up as a featured vocalist on Toro y Moi's Mahal in 2022, so her reach goes well beyond her own releases.
