About
Seth Troxler is a DJ and producer out of Lake Orion, Michigan, whose sound is rooted in Detroit and Chicago dance music history. He draws on the legacies of Richie Hawtin and Moodymann, and his sets blend deep house, tech house and techno in a way that earned him the number one spot in Resident Advisor's Top 100 DJ poll in 2012, after years of relentless touring that saw him play 158 gigs in a single year. He has graced clubs like Fabric, Panorama Bar and Watergate, plus festivals from Glastonbury to Coachella. Beyond DJing, Troxler co founded the Visionquest label and collective alongside Ryan Crosson, Lee Curtiss and Shaun Reeves, and later launched three labels of his own: Tuskegee, a platform for artists from underrepresented backgrounds in electronic music, set up with The Martinez Brothers; Soft Touch, which puts out folk and rock releases in limited editions; and Play It, Say It, a no frills outlet for floor tested white labels. In 2017 he teamed up with Phil Moffa on Lost Souls of Saturn, a project mixing music, performance and visual art.
