About
Sugar Spine started in 2021 as a solo project by vocalist Josh Muncke, who wrote and recorded the first single Go Outside during a two week hotel quarantine in Sydney, Australia. By June 2023 the project had grown into a full four piece band, and they quickly picked up support slots alongside international heavyweights including Jesus Piece, Misery Signals, Breakdown of Sanity and Half Me. The Netherlands based group plays a ferocious blend of hardcore, metalcore and deathcore, moving fast between suffocating clean passages, driving two step riffs and crushing breakdowns. Stick To Your Guns, Slipknot, END and Boundaries are among the reference points the band draws from. Their discography includes two albums and the EPs Violent Heaven and Soul Before Spirit. Violent Heaven features a guest appearance by Chris Zuehlke of Half Me on the track To Fade Quietly.
