Swae Lee built his reputation on a voice that doesn't quite fit any box: wide ranged, drenched in reverb, and equally at home on a rap verse or a pop hook. He rose to fame as one half of Rae Sremmurd alongside his brother Slim Jxmmi, and the duo racked up a string of Billboard hits including "No Type" and "Black Beatles," which hit number one on the Hot 100. His solo trajectory kicked into another gear entirely with "Sunflower," the Post Malone collab made for Spider Man: Into the Spider Verse. That song topped the Hot 100 and became the first track ever to earn double diamond certification from the RIAA, making it the highest certified song in RIAA history. He has lent his unmistakable hooks to records by Madonna, Ellie Goulding, Beyoncé, and Travis Scott, and even scored a Grammy nomination for co writing Beyoncé's "Formation." His second solo album Same Difference dropped in April 2026.
