Norwegian trio The Bausa built a serious buzz before most people had even heard of them, racking up over 15 million views on "Magnetic" before the track officially dropped in early 2026. The song came together in a small holiday home by the sea, written in the dead of winter at around minus 15 degrees, yet it sounds like pure summer: house grooves, disco, funk, and a bassline sampled from Modjo's Lady (Hear Me Tonight). It's a deliberate escape from the cold, and it worked. The release marked a real shift for the group, moving away from pop and leaning into a more electronic, dancefloor ready direction. Lyrically it's about that irresistible pull toward someone you just can't shake. "Magnetic" hit number three in Norway, climbed to number two in the Dutch Top 40, and landed at six in the Flemish Ultratop 50, carrying the band well beyond their home turf.
