About

The Beaches built their name on sharp, guitar driven rock with an attitude, and "T Shirt" put them on the map in Canada by hitting number one on the Billboard Canada Rock chart. The Toronto foursome, fronted by Jordan Miller, got their start under a different name before settling into an alternative rock sound and signing to Universal Records. Their debut album Late Show, produced by Emily Haines and James Shaw of Metric, earned them the 2018 Juno Award for Breakthrough Group of the Year. Things shifted gear with "Blame Brett", a song about Jordan's breakup with Brett Emmons from The Glorious Sons. It went viral on TikTok, pulled in a younger crowd, and became their second number one on the Canada Rock chart. The album it led off, Blame My Ex, won the Juno Award for Rock Album of the Year in 2024. Their third studio album No Hard Feelings followed in 2025, and the band has now won the Juno Award for Group of the Year three years running.
