About
The Femcels are a London electronic pop duo made up of Rowan Miles and Gabriella Turton, who went from Instagram mutuals to studio partners in early 2024. Their sound pulls from an eclectic range of touchstones, including the Beach Boys, Leonard Cohen, and Beat Happening, and their debut single 'He Needs Me' was described by The Face as a chiptune flavoured update of a Shelley Duvall cult classic from 1980. Pitchfork tagged them as a 'Teenagers esque pop duo' and placed Miles within a '00s obsessed London scene that includes Bassvictim, a connection that also brought producer Ike Clateman into the fold. Their debut album I Have to Get Hotter landed in January 2026 and earned a 7.6 from Pitchfork, who praised their knack for turning everyday insecurities into something giddy and genuinely fun.
