Dutch producer and DJ Trobi, born Bryan du Chatenier, made a name for himself bridging two worlds that rarely overlap: he started out making EDM under Spinnin' Records, where he became the youngest artist ever signed to the label, then pivoted hard into nederhop and never looked back. His beat for Ronnie Flex's track 4/5 went platinum in the Netherlands and opened the door to a string of productions for artists like Sevn Alias, Lil' Kleine, Ashafar and Kevin. He has credits on tracks by Lijpe, Mula B and Josylvio, and has worked with international names including French rapper Lacrim and Spanish rapper Morad. From 2021 onward Trobi started stepping out from behind the boards more often, appearing as a featured artist on tracks like Meisje zonder naam with Ronnie Flex and Emma Heesters, and Einstein with LouiVos and Mula B. His 2022 debut album Trobi on the beat found an audience in both the Netherlands and Belgium. He has played Tomorrowland, Mysteryland and Amsterdam Dance Event, covering a lot of ground for someone who started making beats at age nine.
