About
Tröckener Kecks started out in 1980 as a punk band, all jumpy and loud, but by the middle of the decade they had traded that for a more grown up indie rock sound. The lyrics stayed funny and sharp, though, and the songs are in Dutch. People know them for tracks like 'Nu Of Nooit', 'De Jacht Is Mooier Dan De Vangst', 'Niemand Thuis' and 'Met Hart en Ziel'. Live was where they built their name. Between 1981 and 2001 they played Paradiso in Amsterdam at least 25 times. They signed off from their audience with the live album 'Meer Niet!'. The lineup features Rick de Leeuw on vocals, Theo Vogelaars on bass, Phil Tilli and Manu Huylebroeck on guitar, Rob van Zandvoort on keys and Ron Reuman on drums.
