About
Violent Vira, the Mexican American rock artist out of Boise, spent a few years building a devoted following through a string of sharp independent singles before signing with Mom + Pop Music in 2025. Her debut EP Till' Death Was Never Enough arrived in 2023, and her full length album Lover of a Ghost followed in 2025, preceded by singles like 'Saccharine', produced by Jennifer Decilveo, and 'Common Decency'. Critics noted a shift toward heavier alternative metal territory with the new material. Her sound pulls from grunge, emo and metal, blending melodic vocals with heftier delivery, and she draws comparisons to Flyleaf's Lacey Sturm. The Chasing Ghosts North American tour in 2025 pulled nearly 1,800 people to her Phoenix show alone, and she played major festivals including Louder Than Life, Riot Fest and Aftershock that same year. Glasse Factory named her Artist of the Month in October 2025.
