Clouseau returns to nine Dutch venues in 2027

Clouseau is coming back to the Netherlands in spring 2027. Koen and Kris Wauters will play nine Dutch venues between February 21 and March 23, the band has announced. It follows their 2024 Dutch tour, which according to Maxazine sold out almost completely.

The run kicks off on February 21, 2027 at Amare in The Hague. After that come De Oosterpoort in Groningen (February 23), Musis in Arnhem (March 2), TivoliVredenburg in Utrecht (March 3), Poppodium 013 in Tilburg (March 5), the Muziekgieterij in Maastricht (March 7), PLT in Heerlen (March 11) and PHIL in Haarlem (March 17). The tour wraps up on March 23 at Muziekcentrum in Enschede. That means the band covers the country from north to south, with plenty of theaters and concert halls among the stops.

Clouseau has been a fixture of Dutch language pop for more than forty years. The Belgian band fronted by the Wauters brothers made its definitive breakthrough in the late eighties with "Anne". A long string of hits followed, including "Daar Gaat Ze", "Domino", "Passie", "Nobelprijs" and "En Dans". That repertoire forms the core of the shows, which according to the announcement span more than four decades of hits.

The band is also all over Dutch television right now. Koen and Kris appear this season in the AVROTROS show Beste Zangers, where the first episode was entirely devoted to Clouseau. Artists like Yves Berendse, Jeangu Macrooy, Bizzey, Zoë Livay, Desray and Fay Claassen put their own spin on well known songs by the band. An episode like that puts the repertoire in front of a wide audience, including people who have never seen the band live.

In 2024, Clouseau celebrated its fortieth anniversary with a big run of concerts. In Belgium the band played fourteen sold out nights at the Sportpaleis, now called the AFAS Dome, drawing around 240,000 visitors. The Dutch tour that year also attracted a lot of interest.

After the Dutch dates, a special milestone awaits. On August 4, 2027, Clouseau will play a show of their own at the King Baudouin Stadium in Brussels, making them the first Belgian act to headline there. For Dutch fans, the spring tour is therefore a chance to see the band in smaller and mid sized venues before the group turns its attention to that stadium concert.
