About
Also known as: Άντριου Λάμπρου
Andrew Lambrou built his following the slow way, starting with viral covers on YouTube and Instagram before anyone was paying attention to his originals. The Sydney born, Greek Cypriot singer songwriter made his mark with his debut single "Throne" in 2021, a track the Australian Independent Record Labels Association described as a dark and compelling arrival for an up and coming pop act. He followed that with "Lemonade" and "Confidence", a run of singles that showed off his knack for wrapping emotional insight into polished pop. His biggest moment came when Cyprus Broadcasting Corporation picked him to fly the Cypriot flag at the Eurovision Song Contest 2023, an unusual move given he was born and raised in Australia. The entry "Break a Broken Heart" came out in March 2023 through Panik Records, the dominant label across Greece and Cyprus. It was a long way from posting Instagram covers to a Eurovision stage, but Lambrou got there on his own terms.
