About
Beyond the Black built a fanbase fast. Their 2015 debut Songs of Love and Death cracked the German charts at number 12 straight out of the gate, produced by Sascha Paeth of Avantasia fame. The Mannheim outfit plays symphonic metal led by vocalist Jennifer Haben, and after a full lineup reshuffle in 2016, the band grew into a proper touring force, sharing stages with Aerosmith and Scorpions and co headlining runs with Amaranthe. Each album has pushed them further up the charts, and their 2023 self titled record landed at number 2 in Germany. They kept the momentum going into 2026 with the release of Break the Silence, previewed by a string of official music videos. Haben also lent her voice to Amaranthe's single Make It Better in 2022, showing she fits comfortably outside the band's own sound too.
