About
Blanco White is the project of London based singer songwriter and guitarist Josh Edwards, whose sound sits at a crossroads that few artists bother finding. He spent time studying flamenco guitar in Cádiz and then travelled to Bolivia, where he picked up the charango, a traditional Andean stringed instrument. Those two journeys shaped everything: the music blends Andalusian and Latin American textures with an English folk sensibility in a way that feels genuinely earned rather than borrowed. He launched the project in 2014, naming it after the Spanish poet José María Blanco White, and signed to London's Yucatán Records in 2016. A run of EPs built a devoted following before his debut album On the Other Side arrived in 2020. His second album, Tarifa, followed in 2023, and alongside it came a string of singles including "Silver Beaches" and "Una Noche Más". He has toured across Europe and the US, and the catalogue keeps growing.
