About
Also known as: Brooklyn Combe
Brooke Combe burned her bridges with Island Records and came out the other side with something far more her own. The Scottish singer, songwriter and multi instrumentalist from Dalkeith ditched her major label contract after growing frustrated with commercial pressures, then teamed up with James Skelly, producer and frontman of the Coral, to make her debut album Dancing at the Edge of the World. Released independently in 2025, it channels northern soul and classic R&B into something that feels genuinely fresh. Clash called it an 'absolute stormer', and The Line of Best Fit hailed it as 'a massive step forward'. She had already made noise before that, with her 2021 debut single 'Are You With Me?' drawing attention and a 2022 Glastonbury slot following shortly after. Her 2023 mixtape Black is the New Gold dug into themes of oppression and femininity through the lens of her Black roots. Now she is out on the road as the opening act for Benson Boone's American Heart World Tour.
