Chloe Slater writes songs with a point to make. The Manchester based singer songwriter has built her sound around social and political themes, taking cues from the protest tinged indie rock of Sam Fender and Declan McKenna, and mixing in sharp satire to get young listeners actually thinking about the world around them. Her second single, "24 Hours", a takedown of influencer culture, went viral on TikTok and put her on the map fast. Since her debut EP You Can't Put a Price on Fun dropped in May 2024 via Stolen Juice and AWAL, she has kept up a steady pace. Her second EP, Love Me Please, arrived in February 2025 and digs into influencer culture, feminism and social class. With influences ranging from Wolf Alice to Arctic Monkeys to Fontaines D.C., her indie pop and rock songs feel plugged in to a wider conversation, which is exactly what she is going for.
