COBRAH, the Swedish electronic pop artist born Clara Blom Christensen, runs her own label GAGBALL Records and makes music heavily influenced by the BDSM scene in Stockholm, a world she entered through a connection with photographer Katrin Unge. Her sound is provocative and sharp, and her debut single "IDFKA" already landed a Grammis nomination for Music Video of the Year. She has cited Kate Bush as a creative inspiration, not for the sonics but for the attitude of arriving in the industry with a genuinely original point of view. After her self titled 2021 EP earned a Grammis nomination, COBRAH signed distribution with Atlantic Records and released the EP Succubus in 2023, which went on to win the Grammis 2024 in the Electro/Dance category. Her 2022 single "Brand New Bitch" got a high profile moment when Yorgos Lanthimos used it in his film Kinds of Kindness, including a scene where Emma Stone dances to it.
