Danny Bryant plays blues guitar with the kind of raw conviction that gets you on bills with Buddy Guy, Carlos Santana, and Mick Taylor. The Royston native turned professional at 18 and has spent the decades since touring relentlessly across the UK, Europe, the US, Canada, and as far as China, building a catalogue that now stretches well past a dozen records. His 2013 album Hurricane was a turning point that put his songwriting front and centre, not just his fretwork. His 2014 record Temperature Rising came off the back of an unusual stint fronting Walter Trout's band while Trout recovered from a liver transplant. That kind of baptism by fire suits Bryant's style. He has kept a steady pace ever since, releasing The Rage To Survive in 2021 and Rise in 2023, showing no signs of letting up on the blues.
