About
Des Rocs is the solo project of New York City musician Danny Rocco, whose sound sits somewhere between glam rock swagger and hard rock intensity, with nods to Queen, Muse, and Roy Orbison all woven in. Rocco's whole thing is individuality, actively pushing to sound unlike anyone else working in rock right now, and it shows. He's shared stages with some serious heavyweights, having toured alongside The Rolling Stones, Muse, The Cult, Kaleo, and The Struts. His 2021 album A Real Good Person In A Real Bad Place arrived after a run of teaser singles including "MMC" and "Imaginary Friends", and a virtual concert that doubled as the first live playthrough of This is Our Life. He followed that up with Dream Machine in 2023, released through Sumerian Records, with the single "Nowhere Kid" leading the charge. Around the same time, he collaborated with Zayn Malik on the single "Break Free", showing a reach that goes well beyond the rock circuit.
