About
Also known as: The Imposters
Few artists have sustained a career as sprawling and restless as Elvis Costello's. The bespectacled English singer and songwriter made his name with three landmark late seventies records, My Aim Is True, This Year's Model and Armed Forces, establishing sharp, often biting lyrics as his signature alongside a gift for the perfectly constructed pop song. From that new wave foundation he went on to release around 30 more albums, ranging widely in style while keeping that sardonic wit intact. When he performs with the Imposters, the band digs deep into a catalogue packed with songs that have become touchstones across generations, among them Alison, Watching the Detectives, Accidents Will Happen, Radio Radio and Chelsea.
