About
Best known as the frontman of House of Pain, the group behind the inescapable 1992 banger "Jump Around", Everlast carved out a completely different lane as a solo artist. His 1998 album Whitey Ford Sings the Blues sold over three million copies and showed a gift for blending rap with acoustic and electric guitars in ways that felt genuinely fresh. "What It's Like" remains his signature track, and the follow up single "Ends" also cracked the U.S. rock top 10. His collaboration with Santana on "Put Your Lights On" from the 1999 album Supernatural earned him a Grammy for Best Rock Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal. Over eight solo albums he has kept pulling together hip hop, rock, blues, folk, and Americana into something hard to pigeonhole. His most recent album, Whitey Ford's House of Pain, came out in 2018, and he has also been part of hip hop supergroup La Coka Nostra.
