About
Ghostly Kisses is the project of Québec duo Margaux Sauvé and Louis Étienne Santais, and the name alone tells you something about the vibe: it comes from a William Faulkner poem that includes the line "brush my lips with little ghostly kisses." Their sound is delicate and atmospheric pop, the kind that feels weightless but quietly gets under your skin. "Empty Note" landed on both Netflix's The Rain and Skam Italia, giving the project a genuinely international reach. Sauvé built the project gradually through a string of EPs before she and Santais, her musical and life partner, completed the debut full length album Heaven, Wait, released in January 2022. Along the way she roped in producer Tim Bran and even a string ensemble from a studio in Macedonia to flesh out the title track. She scored the Spotify Original podcast Red Frontier too, showing there's more range here than the hushed bedroom pop tag might suggest.
