Igorrr (FR)

About

Igorrr is the project of French musician Gautier Serre, and unpredictability is basically the whole point. He throws breakcore, black metal, baroque composition and Balkan folk influences into the same room and lets them collide, with results that are genuinely hard to categorise. Opera vocals sit next to blast beats, acoustic passages dissolve into digital chaos, and the whole thing shifts direction faster than you can track it. What starts as an experiment keeps mutating into something that resists any single label. The sheer range of textures Serre works with, from ornate classical structures to grinding metal to fractured electronic rhythms, is what makes Igorrr so distinctive. There is nothing quite like it in the overlap between avant garde, electronic and extreme metal music.
