About
Jana Horn makes the kind of quiet, searching folk music that feels like it was recorded in a room where the windows are cracked open and the outside world is just barely audible. Based in Austin, Texas, she released her debut album Optimism in 2020 through Philadelphia label No Quarter, and it announced a songwriter with a genuinely distinctive voice. Her background as a fiction writer comes through in the careful attention to language and detail in her songs. Her 2023 follow up, The Window Is the Dream, deepened that mood, and she kept the momentum going with a self titled third album in early 2026, which landed to positive reviews. Three albums in, Horn has built a small but quietly compelling body of work that rewards close listening.
