About
Just Mustard have been quietly building one of the most distinctive sounds in Irish rock since forming in Dundalk in 2015. Their music sits somewhere between shoegaze and post punk, thick with noise and atmosphere, with Katie Ball's vocals cutting through layers of distortion and texture. Their debut album Wednesday came out in 2018 on Pizza Pizza Records, recorded partly in their own home studio, and landed a Choice Music Prize nomination that same year. Signing to Brooklyn's Partisan Records gave them a bigger stage for their second album Heart Under in 2022, which cracked the Irish albums chart at number 17 and won strong critical praise. They kept the momentum going with recent singles including Pollyanna, and in October 2025 they released their third album We Were Just Here, with official videos for both the title track and Pollyanna already out in the world.
