Knox, the stage name of Knox Morris, traded a future in teaching for a shot at pop rock, and it has paid off. Based in Nashville and signed to Atlantic Records, he built his early momentum through open mic nights and talent show auditions before linking up with Nashville production company Zodlounge and going all in on music. His singles "Sneakers" and "Not the 1975" are the ones that put him on the map, racking up over 28 million and 10 million streams respectively, largely driven by TikTok and Instagram Reels. "Not the 1975" even cracked the Billboard charts after the story behind it got out: the song was inspired by a woman comparing Knox to Matty Healy. He has toured alongside The Band Camino and Nightly, released two EPs, and played Lollapalooza in 2024. His debut album "Going, Going, Gone" is on the way.
