About
Laura Misch is a London based singer, producer and multi instrumentalist who has carved out a distinctly personal corner of the jazz world by weaving warm saxophone layers, minimalist electronics, subtle beats and intimate, melancholic vocals into something that feels genuinely her own. Her 2023 debut album Sample the Sky unfolds as a series of kaleidoscopic dreamscapes, compositions that shift and shimmer like an ode to nature and a quiet statement against its destruction. Her follow up album Lithic takes a more elemental turn, drawing inspiration from stone, water, lightning and wind. To capture those textures she recorded in quarries, cliffs and caves across Cornwall, a treehouse at Kudhva, locations on the Greek islands of Tinos and Hydra, and the shingle landscape of Dungeness, before mixing and editing at Brewery Studios in Berlin. The result is something she describes as a cave shaped by emotion and raw natural forces.
