About
Also known as: Lorine Zineb Noka Talhaoui, Lorén Talhaoui, لورين, لورين زينب نورا طلحاوي, ロリーン
Few artists can claim to have won Eurovision twice, but Loreen pulled it off, taking the contest for Sweden in 2012 with "Euphoria" and again in 2023 with "Tattoo". That makes her the second act ever to win it more than once, after Johnny Logan, and the first woman to do so. "Euphoria" was no flash in the pan either: it hit number three on the UK Singles Chart and stayed in the top 20 for weeks, which was almost unheard of for a Eurovision entry at the time. Loreen's sound pulls from a wide range of territory, mixing dance pop, electropop and trip hop with more atmospheric, indie leaning textures. Her debut album Heal came out in 2012 and went straight to the top of the Swedish charts, going platinum within two weeks. Her second album Ride followed in 2017. Before any of that, she spent years behind the camera as a segment producer and director for Swedish reality TV, which makes her twin Eurovision victories feel all the more unlikely and satisfying.
